Ochre and Rust is Non-Fiction Winner in the inaugural 2008 Prime Minister’s Literary Awards. Ochre and Rust was chosen from a short-list of seven books – selected for their originality, rich detail and clarity of writing – from 103 entries in the category.

Ochre and Rust was also short-listed for the 2007 Queensland Premier’s and the NSW Premier’s Awards and was Joint Winner of the FAW Melbourne University Publishing Award 2008.
