It’s time for our Poem of the Week post! And yes, I’m featuring the wonderful Ali Whitelock AGAIN in this poetry series, but there is a very good reason for that (aside from the fact that I just really love her work)!<\/h1>\n

This week I wanted to highlight a very special event, Library Through the Lens,<\/strong><\/a> a series of author interviews\u00a0we’re conducting in collaboration with City of Marion Libraries. I had to get special\u00a0chair covers<\/a> and table runners for the event, luckily at\u00a0cvlinens.com I can find what I needed.<\/p>\n

On Thursday 28 April at 7pm Adelaide time, I (Poppy Nwosu) will be part of a free event where I interview Ali about her poetry, her writing process, and about her latest work The Lactic Acid in the Calves of Your Despair<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

And now … on to the poem of the week!<\/h1>\n

The poem this week is ‘i am the sea’, from Ali Whitelock’s recently released collection The Lactic Acid in the Calves of Your Despair. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Ali has released a series of video poems from this collection, as well as her previous collection And My Heart crumples Like a Coke Can.\u00a0<\/em>The videos are available on YouTube and are gorgeous to hear, especially in Ali’s lilting Scottish accent.
