For more information, visit www.wakefieldpress.com.au\/blog)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Editors Dominic Guerrera and Karen Wyld invite Aboriginal and\/or Torres Strait Islander storytellers to submit poetry, fiction and graphic stories for an upcoming Wakefield Press anthology (currently untitled). This anthology is supported by a grant from the Australian Council for the Arts.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dominic and Karen envision that this collection will be a boundless chorus of profundity, intuity, and sovereignty, with works writing back to the archives, staunchly calling for justice, listening to ancestors or speaking to future kin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through this anthology, Wakefield Press\u2019 vision is to nurture Aboriginal and\/or Torres Strait Islander writers, supporting them to grow careers with longevity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Continue reading below for submission details and key information.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nunga Anthology submission guidelines and key information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Submission is open to Aboriginal and\/or Torres Strait Islander people<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work can be new or previously published<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submissions will open on Friday 7 July and close Monday 18 September 2023<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submissions must be sent via email as Word or pdf documents. Please use a black, standard font for your work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The editors are seeking submissions of poetry (up to two pages), micro fiction (less than 1000 words), short stories (1000\u20134000 words), and graphic stories (up to two pages)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submission or invitation to submit does not guarantee selection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Selected work will be edited in collaboration with the writer in a culturally responsive way<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dominic and Karen can provide support to new writers to polish their pieces<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Selected work will be paid at a fair and ethical rate, based on works submitted and word count<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ownership and copyright remains with the writer or artist, with non-exclusive rights granted to the publisher to publish and reproduce in a manner to be outlined in the contributor agreement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The anthology will be published early 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Enquiries and submissions:<\/strong> nungaanthology@gmail.com&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dominic Guerrera<\/strong> is a Ngarrindjeri and Kaurna poet and writer with work published in <em>Artlink<\/em>, <em>Granta<\/em>, <em>Fine Print <\/em>and <em>Cordite Review<\/em>. Dominic\u2019s work practice also extends into curatorial work, public programming, pottery and community organising. In 2021 he was awarded the Oodgeroo Noonuccal Poetry Prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/karenwyld.com\/\">Karen Wyld<\/a> <\/strong>is an author of Martu descent living on the coast south of Adelaide.
