The list of author-invented words is wonderful, but some seem particularly apt &#8211; that cojones (from the Spanish) entered regular English usage courtesy of Hemingway is glorious. Read more <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/books\/2014\/jun\/17\/authors-invented-words-used-every-day-cojones-meme-nerd\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>From <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.esquire.com\/\">Esquire<\/a><\/em>, we have a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.esquire.com\/blogs\/culture\/how-to-shop-in-a-bookstore\">step-by-step guide<\/a> to giving up the Amazon addiction and shopping in your local bookshop. Discontent with Bezos&#8217; empire has been growing recently, but shopping local shouldn&#8217;t just\u00a0be about a boycott. Bricks and mortar bookshops are wonderful places to find new authors, new titles, and to find out more about your local community of writers and readers. There&#8217;s nothing quite like being able to drop into <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imprints.com.au\/\">Imprints<\/a> on your break and spend some time familiarising yourself with the current crop of great reads. I would live in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.matildabookshop.com.au\/\">Matilda&#8217;s<\/a> if they&#8217;d let me.\u00a0And you&#8217;re always ALWAYS in good hands at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dymocks.com.au\/\">Dymocks<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DillonsNorwoodBookshop\">Dillons<\/a>.
