Roy Ananda
In this stunning SALA monograph, Roy Ananda explores distant galaxies and plumbs sepulchral dungeons to create beguiling and intricate works of contemporary art. He is a visual artist, writer, and educator practising on Kaurna Country (Tarndanya/Adelaide Plains). His objects, drawings, installations, texts, and videos variously celebrate play, process, and the very act of making, exploding familiar pop culture properties - from Star Wars to Looney Tunes cartoons - and reassembling them in strange new configurations. His allusive works are slyly humorous contemplations on the nature of fandom. Since 2001, Roy Ananda has exhibited prolifically around Australia. He is Head of Drawing at the Adelaide Central School of Art.

This book might be considered a travel guide to the alternate worlds of Roy Ananda's imagination. It is the first major publication devoted to his work.

Sean Williams is an award-winning, New York Times-bestselling author of fifty-odd novels and more than 120 short stories for all ages. As well as his original fiction, he has contributed to shared universes such as Star Wars and Doctor Who. In recent years his work has been recognised by the Ethel Turner Prize for Young People's Literature, the Patricia Wrightson Prize for Children's Literature, the Aurealis Award for Best Children's Fiction, and the Children's Book Council of Australia. He teaches creative writing at Flinders University and composes ambient music as a side gig.

Bernadette Klavins is a South Australian artist, writer, and arts worker. Working within the field of sculpture, Klavins draws upon the transformative and poetic potential of materials and processes, and explores their relationship to deep time.

Andrew Purvis is the curator at Adelaide Central Gallery, attached to Adelaide Central School of Art. He also works as an educator and practising artist. His writing on art has been published widely.
