Marissa Slaven

Code Red
In the exciting sequel to Code Blue, Atlantic (Tic) Brewer returns to the North East Science Academy and things go from bad to worse. She canít seem to stay out of trouble, and when her past catches up with her, it will take help from all of her old friends, and some new ones, as well as nerves of steel for Tic to survive.

Can Tic and her friends save civilization from the results of the Change and those who would see the world destroyed?

Far from your typical boarding-school adventure, Code Blue and Code Red challenges readers with questions relevant to our time.

Marissa Slaven was born and raised in Montreal by parents who taught her that it was her responsibility to do her part to make the world a better place. She has always loved stories with strong female characters and was searching for a YA novel where the heroine saves the world using her intelligence and compassion. She was inspired by her daughter to write Code Blue, an eco-fiction thriller, where a teenage girl and her friends battle climate change.
