This week’s poetry spotlight celebrates the latest collections (yes, that plural is intentional, there’s two!) from the delightful duo Ken Bolton and Peter Bakowski. Waldo’s Game and On Luck Street will be officially launched into the world on November 4 (Adelaide) and November 8 (Melbourne).

This week, Wakefield’s talented typesetter Jesse Pollard tells us about The Inkwell, a community of writers who support each other throughout the publishing process, and also produce a monthly anthology called The Inkwell presents.

We’re pleased to announce the winner of the July WWWC: Shreya Nidumolu! Responding to the prompt ‘temperance’, Shreya’s story, ‘The Anger Lives Within Me’, follows an unnamed narrator held captive in a small room, with only a cruel governess for company.

This week we welcomed Carney Sims to the Wakefield family. You’ll find her sitting behind the desk in our little bookshop, where she will be taking over events and administration duties. We asked Carney a few questions about her background and interests, as well as, of course, her taste in books!
