Anthony Stimson
Anthony Stimson has a PhD in History from Flinders University (Adelaide) and is president of the South Australian Boer War Association, a descendants' organisation. His interest in the Anglo-Boer War started with his grandfather, Captain A.E.M. Norton (1869-1922), who commanded a squadron of mounted infantry in the 4th South Australian Imperial Bushmen and was awarded a DSO for the action fought at Leeuwkop near Lindley on 3 June 1900. In 2017, with Albert and Renee Jordaan, who own the ridge, Anthony dedicated a memorial in honour of all the men who fought that day, Britons, Boers and Australians.
