Delivery and freight information

Delivery times

Generally, titles listed as in stock are shipped the same day of order (depending on stock availability) or the next business day.

Prices and stock availability may differ from the information displayed on the Wakefield Press website. If the price and/or availability changes, we will contact you prior to finalisation of your order.

All books are despatched to customers from our warehouse in Mile End, South Australia.

Freight within Australia

Wakefield Press uses Australia Post for all deliveries within Australia. Our freight costs are very affordable, particularly if you purchase multiple books.

Orders with invoice value of $100 and more (including GST) we supply free of any freight charge. For orders with invoice value lower than $100, no matter how many books, we charge just $9.99 (including GST) toward the freight costs.

When ordering, please ensure that your delivery address is correct. Normal delivery procedures for Australia Post apply and Wakefield Press cannot take responsibility for any orders that go missing due to incorrect delivery information provided by you.

Freight outside of Australia

Customers are charged a flat postage and handling fee of AU$40.00 per book.

For shipments of multiple books overseas please email warehouse@wakefieldpress.com.au for a quote.

Taxes for overseas orders

You are responsible for assuring that the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country. Orders that are shipped to countries outside of Australia may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information.

Non-receipt of a sent parcel

If a sent parcel has not been received by you please contact us.

Wakefield Press cannot be held responsible for non-delivery in situations where the customer has entered incorrect or incomplete delivery address details. Please ensure that you enter your address details correctly and in full. We recommend that you double-check the delivery details displayed at the top of your Order Confirmation email after your order has been placed.

In situations where the correct address information has been provided and the book(s) have not been delivered, we will either re-order and resend the order, or issue a refund, 21 days after the initial parcel was sent. This gives us time to resolve any delivery issues and recover the article if it has been mishandled or returned to us by Australia Post.
