Weaving Through Time is a celebration of Aunty Ellen’s unwavering dedication to culture, community and innovation in contemporary Ngarrindjeri weaving.

As part of the Adelaide Film Festival, join us for the launch of Shine: Persistence of vision by Scott Hicks. Shine took the world by storm, but few know the story behind the story; the determined director who refused to give up, the making of an unforgettable Australian film that might never have been seen.

Celebrating the film’s 30th anniversary, Scott will be in conversation with ABC’s Deb Tribe discussing the journey behind the ten-year saga to bring his Academy Award-winning film to the silver screen.

Join us at the Adelaide Film Festival for a 30th anniversary screening of Scott Hicks' Acadamy Award-winning film Shine. The screening will feature a brief piano recital by Simon Tedeschi AM, and a Q&A between Scott Hicks and Russell Torrance of ABC Classic.

The compelling and poignant story of a young man who defies his father’s wishes to pursue his dreams. Shine is a story of rebellion and individuality through the eyes of a pianist whose only form of self-expression is found in the keys of his instrument.

Nyuyuntja – stoking of the fire, keeping the fire alive, celebrates the life and work of Tjunkaya Tapaya OAM (1947–2025). As a senior Anangu elder and ‘deep culture woman’, Mrs Tapaya was one of the most accomplished artists associated with Australia’s longest running and highly acclaimed Aboriginal Art Centre, Ernabella Arts. This exhibition showcases a selection of artworks which highlight her confidence as a creator and storyteller, alongside the purpose and passion inherent to her practice.

JamFactory’s ICON series celebrates the achievements of South Australia’s most influential visual artists working in craft-based media. Julie Blyfield is a jeweller and metalsmith whose ever-evolving practice is inspired by her research into botanical specimens, historical silver collections and the rich diversity of the Australian landscape.

JamFactory ICON Julie Blyfield: Chasing a Passion is inspired by Blyfield’s experiences of the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest in far-north Queensland. In developing work for this exhibition, Blyfield has drawn on the marine collections of the South Australian Museum as well as resources she collected during her visit.

This two-day creative workshop invites First Nations participants to explore how personal, family and local histories can become powerful works for the stage. Led by Jacob Boehme (Narungga/Kaurna), acclaimed theatre maker, writer and director of Logan St and Co-Lead of Blak State, alongside Natalie Harkin (Narungga), poet, researcher and interdisciplinary artist whose work explores Aboriginal archives, memory and justice, and Tracey Rigney (Ngarrindjeri), acclaimed writer and creator of Kumarangk, participants will investigate ways of transforming lived experience into performance.
