Ray Tyndale
Ray Tyndale started writing poetry and literary fiction in the 1990s when studying for her MA in Creative Writing with Tom Shapcott at the University of Adelaide and has continued to publish all manner of words while gaining her doctorate. There are always women in her writing, although they are rarely young. Ray is multi-skilled and has led many lives, all of which enrich her several books. Farmwoman (Wakefield Press) and Sappho at Sixty (Picaro Press) are among her latest works, both published in 2007. Lately she has been working as a cafe poet at Sarah's Sister's Sustainable Cafe in main street of Semaphore, under the aegis of the national body, Australian Poetry. She lives with her partner and dogs in beachside Semaphore, South Australia.
