
Elle Freak is the Associate Curator of Australian Paintings and Sculpture at the Art Gallery of South Australia, Tarntanya/Adelaide. She has contributed to a range of exhibitions and publications on Australian art, and most recently co-authored the publication and co-curated the exhibition Dangerously Modern: Australian women artists in Europe 1890-1940 (2025).

Andrew Purvis is the Director of Adelaide Central Gallery, which is part of Adelaide Central School of Art. With over a decade of experience in the arts, Andrew has worked as an artist, arts writer, and curator. He has curated over 60 exhibitions. He has also contributed to a previous South Australian Living Artist monograph, writing about the practice of Roy Ananda (2021).

James Tylor is an Australian multidisciplinary artist and writer. His research, writing, and artistic practice focus on Kaurna Indigenous culture from the Adelaide Plains region of South Australia and, more broadly, European colonial history in Southern Australia. James works and lives in Canberra, in the Australian Capital Territory.

Nicole Clift is a South Australian visual artist and writer. Nicole is also one half of the collaborative duo Tandem Projects with Rotterdam-based artist Inneke Taal. Nicole has contributed writing to fineprint magazine, the 2024 Neoterica exhibition publication, various solo exhibitions, and was the lead editor for the Golden Goose: 10 years of Floating Goose Studios publication.
